ESPNBoston has reported that the Red Sox have made an offer to free agent Adrian Beltre, As of right now no terms of the offer were disclosed. The sources are guessing with the Sox being close to the luxury tax cut off the deal is probably a 2 year deal with the 2nd year most like being heavily backloaded. There were alot of rumors out there about the Sox not being interested in Beltre, however many sources were contradicting saying they were quietly pursuing the 3rd baseman through his agent Scott Boras. I am quite positive other teams will put a bid in for Beltre, It is rumored the Orioles and cardinals are as well interested. The Athletics were reportedly in the hunt for Beltre but Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported that the A's could not work out any type of deal and are out of the Beltre sweepstakes. I will update when more becomes available.
