According to a source, Mike Lowell's surgery was a success today and went well. The surgery done by Dr. Donald Sheridan, found that Lowell had a 95% tear in the radial collateral ligament in his thumb. It is said the Lowell will return to his home in Florida tomorrow and start his 6-8 week of recovery.
