Mike Lowells gets another injection

This morning Red Sox third baseman, Mike Lowell received an injection in his hip. Manager Terry Francona said Lowell came to him when the team was in Kansas City last week to discuss the matter and after talking with the medical staff everyone felt an injection would be the best way to "manage" the veteran's hip.

"We agreed if he got an injection today and then sits for a couple of days, he
could come back and get some at-bats before the post season," said Francona.
"We'll try to treat him as responsible as we can this week."

This is the second time this season he's had an injection to help the discomfort.
