Tonight before the Red Sox game against the Cleveland Indians. NESN announced that Red Sox Nation President, Jerry Remy would be taking a indefinite leave of absense to recover fully from the effect of lung cancer. Jerry had lung cancer at the end of last year. From the sounds of things Jerry had a few set backs due to an infection and subsequent case of pneumonia.
“I hope that disclosing my bout with cancer will reinforce the dangers of smoking to every member of Red Sox Nation, especially children,” said Remy, the president of Red Sox Nation.
