Kotchman traded to the Mariners

According to ESPNBoston.com sources told Buster Olney of ESPN Magazine that the Red Sox have traded first baseman Casey Kotchan to the Seattle Mariners in return for at least one minor leaguer. If the trade goes through, Kotchman would most likely be the Mariner's starting first baseman.
Kotchman, who split 2009 season with the Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves, hit .268 with 7 HRs and 48 RBIs. He batted .282 in 87 games with the Red Sox, he hit 6 of his 7 home runs with Boston. The Red Sox obtained Kotchman last season in a trade that sent Adam LaRoche to Atlanta.

UPDATE 6:33PM: A report from Over the Monster is saying the Mariners will send Bill Hall to the Red Sox along with a player to be named later and cash considerations.
