Questions answered

Today's final season finale showed me a lot as a die hard Red Sox fan. In the last week of the season Red Sox Nation had a scare when Alex Gonzalez got hit on the hand by a pitch, preliminary reports said the Gonzo had a "line" that showed on the x-rays taken at the park. It caused the "nation" to go running for their panic buttons. A lot was discussed on all the great Red Sox blogs on what were the Sox going to do. Nick Green is out with nerve problems in his back, Jed Lowrie is also coming off of wrist surgery and lastly Chris Woodward just hasn't had the chance to prove himself at the major league level.

Well in today's game Gonzo showed us that we have nothing to worry about by swinging his bat with some power knocking a HR over the Green Monster in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Then Jed Lowrie comes in as a replacement in the middle innings of the game and with the bases loaded with 2 outs he hits his 1st career grand slam. Another question I had as a fan was the status of J.D. Drew. Well after his 2 home runs in today's game. It put my worries to rest. Granted it doesn't show us that his shoulder is 100% but it shows me he is still ready for Soxtober.
