Magic number down to 2

The weekend in the Bronx didn't go quite as planned as most of Red Sox Nation wanted and was hoping. With the Yankees sweeping the Sox in the 3 games series this weekend it allowed them to clinch the AL East pennant. Now the only way into the 2009 post season is via the AL wild card. The Sox magic number is at 2. They have a 6 game lead over the Texas Rangers with 7 games remaining in the regular season. The positive note is the Sox travel back to Boston tonight and get ready for a 7 game home stand to close out the regular season. They are taking on the Toronto Blue Jays for a 3 game set and then they have a 4 game series with the Cleveland Indians. Below are the probable starters for the remainder of the season.
Monday, 9/28: Beckett
Tuesday, 9/29: Buchholz
Wednesday, 9/30: Wakefield
Thursday, 10/1: Lester
Friday, 10/2: Matsuzaka
Saturday, 10/3: Beckett
Sunday, 10/4: Buchholz.

With the post season just around the corner there has been alot of talk of who will be the Sox #3 and #4 starters in the ALDS. Francona has already announced that Jon Lester will get the ball in game 1. Beckett will be the game 2 starter. Its pretty clear that Buchholz and Matsuzaka are your 3 and 4 starters. I am guessing that Daisuke will get the nod for game 3. Here is what I think the starting line up will be for the post season.
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF

2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B

3. Victor Martinez, C

4. Kevin Youkilis, 1B

5. David Ortiz, DH

6. Jason Bay, LF

7. Mike Lowell, 3B

8. J.D. Drew, RF

9. Alex Gonzalez, SS
